The revelers are ringing in the New Year with celebrations around the world.
Last year, with the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus strain, Omicron caused many cities around the world to shrink their celebrations — some canceling all events.
But this year, we may see a return to something closer to the norm. New York’s Times Square, for example, is expected to return to full capacity this weekend.
