Russia and Ukraine operate Prisoner Exchange On Sunday, a total of 100 soldiers returned home, according to officials from both countries.

As a result of the negotiations, 50 Russian soldiers captured by Ukraine were returned to Russia. The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Ermak, confirmed the exchange. It said that 50 Ukrainian soldiers captured by Russia returned home.

“We returned the people arrested at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. as well as Mariupol defenders, those coming from the Donetsk direction, from near Bakhmut, as well as from Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kherson and other regions,” Ermak said in a statement.

“This isn’t the last exchange. Our duty is to return all our people and we will complete it.”

This was the 36th Russian-Ukrainian exchange since the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia, with 1,646 people, both military and civilians, returning home to Ukraine. according to the report of the Coordination Office on the Treatment of Prisoners of War in Kiev
