Founder and Head of WagnerYevgeny Prigozhin posted a video Saturday claiming he visited Soledar after it was taken over by his mercenaries. “in two weeks”

In the video, Mercenary Leader Wagner mentions that he came to the city to award medals to his fighters. which he said was almost responsible for Soledar’s arrest.

The video shows Prigozhin standing with a man he calls the “The Commander Who Helped Capture Soledar”

“Soledar was captured in two weeks,” said Prigozin. “Soledar was pinched by our claws. and then it was divided into parts You can’t eat an elephant at once, as they say. You have to cut it into parts.”

According to Prigozhin, the Ukrainian soldiers who did not surrender were killed. He said, “The bodies of the Ukrainian soldiers will be returned to their homeland.”

The private military contractor has recruited a large number of soldiers from Russian prisons over the past nine months. It has previously deployed troops to Syria and several African countries.

Prigozhin is credited with what he described as numerous combat equipment and communication systems that gave his troops an advantage in combat.

What Ukraine is saying: Kiev army said Wagner’s warriors, some of whom were unarmored and carried only bombs. Killed in the hundreds after launching repeated attacks against Soledar.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces said late Saturday that fight hard for the next city, with one regional leader describing the situation as “Difficult but controllable”
